I am interested in how the brain processes sensory information and I try to contribute to this still mysterious question by addressing it from both a physiological and algorithmic perspective. My work focuses on auditory processing at the cortical level and I use human electrophysiology to test it as perceptual learning and inference, and to capture the dynamics of underlying mechanisms.
Since very recently, I am developing a multiscale framework to further address how sensory processing adapts to environmental changes. This project aims at linking electrophysiology at microscopic (spiking neural networks, in vitro cultures) and macroscopic (non-invasive EEG, MEG) scales for a finer description of underlying processes.
I also have a keen interest in brain imaging techniques such as magnetoencephalography (MEG) and electroencephalography (EEG), and in advanced modeling approaches that can extract even more information from these signals.
