About me
Chiu-Yueh Chen is a postdoctoral researcher with the IMPACT team at the Lyon Neuroscience Research Centre (CRNL), INSERM, in Lyon, France. She is passionate about exploring how the human brain perceives the dynamic world around us.
In 2023, she obtained her PhD from KU Leuven in Belgium, under the supervision of Professor Hans Op de Beeck. Prior to that, she completed her Master’s degree in cognitive science at National Cheng Kung University in Tainan, Taiwan, and her Bachelor’s degree in clinical and counseling psychology at National Dong Hwa University in Hualien, her favorite city. After her Master’s, she worked for four years as a research assistant, specializing in experimental design and data analysis for fMRI and behavioral studies.
Chiu-Yueh's research aims to understand how the brain processes visual and sensory information in everyday life. Her curiosity about how we manage large amounts of sensory data has been a driving force in her academic journey. To investigate these questions, she primarily uses non-invasive neuroimaging methods like fMRI.
