Former CRNL PhD student wins the 2021 Young Research Award!

Portrait de Laurie-Anne Sapey-Triomphe

The Young Research Award, currently supported by the Metropolis of Lyon and created in the 1980s by the City of Lyon, aims on the one hand to promote the excellence of fundamental and applied research in the laboratories of the University of Lyon, and on the other hand to highlight its young doctors. The prizes are awarded to young doctors under the age of 40 in three areas covering all disciplinary fields: health and society; science and engineering; humanities and urbanity.

Laurie-Anne Sapey-Triomphe, who did her PhD on autism under the supervision of Christina Schmitz and Jérémie Mattout (COPHY CRNL) and is doing a post-doctorate in Belgium at Ku Leuven, was awarded the "Biosanté et société" prize for her work on autism. She seeks to understand "how autistic people perceive the world and build an internal representation of it that will then guide their progression".
