● Animal models of experimental sleep & sleep disorders: narcolepsy, sleep apnea, sleepiness of various causes;
● Therapeutic concepts for sleep disorders, focus on wake-promoting agants : Modafinil & H3-receptor inverse agonists such as Pitolisant.
Models & approaches:
● Chronic EEG & sleep-wake recordings & monitoring in freely-moving cats & mice;
● Various pharmacological & behavioral tests in normal & trangenic animals;
● Neuroanatomy: immunohistochemistry & in situ hybridization;
● Pre-clinical assays.
