Manuel Schabus works on sleep and its pathologies, particularly in children, including in utero (physiology and cognition), and on circadian cycles. He is also involved in "brain decoding" during sleep, oscillations and clinical psychology.
Methods used: electrophysiology (EEG, MEG), EEG biofeedback, fMRI.
Biography: Manuel Schabus is University Professor and Director of the Sleep, Cognition and Consciousness Research Laboratory at the Center for Cognitive Neuroscience (University of Salzburg). He has published numerous articles (h-index= 55) on learning during sleep, as well as on information processing in altered states of consciousness.
