Our research

Research at the CRNL is strongly focused on understanding brain functions and dysfunctions with an integrative approach. It combines several levels of investigation with molecular and cellular disciplines, neuroanatomy, neurophysiology, behavioral and cognitive neuroscience, signal/image processing and computational modeling, as well as clinical/translational neuroscience.

Although we are not structured into departments, the research activity of the CRNL teams can be considered in terms of two closely related approaches: (1) basic systems and cognitive neuroscience, and (2) clinical and preclinical neuroscience.
