Project Title: Arousal and respiratory co-dysfunction in drug-resistant epilepsy: From mechanisms to therapy

Dans le cadre d’un financement INSERM, nous recherchons un/une Technicien(ne) de Recherche pour un CDD d’une durée de 12 mois et pour une prise de fonction en janvier 2024. La mission s’exercera auprès du Pr Romain MARIGNIER au sein du CRNL.
La personne recrutée aura pour mission la réalisation de test diagnostic pour la détection d’autoanticorps (MOG et AQP4) de patients atteints de maladie autoimmune démyelinisante du système nerveux central.

La personne recrutée sera chargée de développer et d’évaluer l’impact de situation de réalité virtuelle immersive sur la compréhension des besoins cognitifs des étudiants et la modification des pratiques enseignantes à l’université. Les scénarios et l’expérimentation conduite constitueront un démonstrateur qui pourront être disséminé à plus grande échelle ensuite, afin de favoriser la prise de conscience auprès des personnels universitaires des obstacles à l’inclusion des étudiants à l’université.

Camille Ferdenzi, in the Neuropop team, is offering an 18-month postdoc position on the Neuroimaging of human body odor attractiveness (ANR BIODOR-IN: “The role of biological odors in human social interactions: A study in immersion”).

Parmi les 450 membres du Centre de Recherche en Neurosciences de Lyon (CRNL), beaucoup participent activement au mouvement de la science ouverte, de manière individuelle et collective. Des groupes de travail se sont formalisés, notamment autour des questions des publications (gestion des collections HAL du Centre et des équipes, questionnaire annuel sur les formes et pratiques de publication depuis 2021) et de la diffusion de la science vers la société civile (cellules communication & valorisation). Les missions du stage s'inscriront dans ce cadre.

This project is part of an ANR-funded program (SniffAttention) in which we propose to use the olfactory modality, a dominant sense for rodents, to study attention in rats. One of the aims of this project is to decipher the neural network involved during a sustained olfactory attention task in rodents. We also want to test the hypothesis that respiration can serve as an effective metronome to synchronize the areas of this neural network. To answer these questions, we combine behavioral experiments in rats, multi-site local field potentials recordings (simultaneously in the piriform cortex, mediodorsal thalamus …) and respiration recording (using a whole-body plethysmograph).

We invite applications for a position as a Postdoc who would be keen on interrogating neuronal circuits involved in the coordination of sleep oscillations in mice. 
The project led by the postdoc will be part of the research program SOLTI, an ANR project running 2022-2026 which aims at understanding the implication of various populations of thalamic neurons and their cortical targets in synchronising sleep oscillations. We are looking for someone with 0-3 years experience as a postdoc in neurosciences, with ideally experience in programming and in mouse work. Mostly we are looking for someone enthusiastic about research, keen on learning and developing their own line of research, independent but with strong team spirit.
