I am currently doing my PhD with Anne Caclin entitled : Development of auditory cognition in children: listening tests and objective measurements. Since links have been found between Central Auditory Processing Disorder (CAPD) and learning disorders (dyslexia, dysphasia, dyspraxia etc…), characterizing auditory cognition would allow a better understanding and earlier diagnosis of learning disorders. The final aim is to propose a battery test spanning auditory attention, hearing-in-noise and short-term memory suitable for clinical use. We will also use objective measurements of listening efforts with a non-invasive neuroimaging technique (fNIRS) and pupillometry.
